MINISTRIES
Our three congregations, combined, are responsible for a variety of ministries and initiatives
to serve God and the local community. Here are some examples of what we do beyond our
regular services on Sundays:

Children’s Ministry
We are very aware of the challenge to reach a new generation for Christ. That’s why we are always trying to find new ways to serve families with kids.
At Frankton we are running a children’s ministry we call Footsteps, with faithful volunteers providing teaching at every service during school terms.
At Global, our evening service, we also provide teaching for younger ones, and we always involve them in Christmas Plays and activities throughout the year.
Youth Ministry
We are leading a Bible Class for our teens, with a focus on discipleship, helping them to grow in their faith and relationship with Christ. We know how the culture around them is trying to lead them to unbelief, so we are always intentionally teaching them how to defend the Christian faith and to stand firm in the face of criticism.

Beyond the teaching class, we try to create an atmosphere of excitement and fun by attending Youth Camps, holding parties, and organizing other activities in partnership with
other youth groups around the region.

Small groups

We have a number of small groups and we believe mid-week fellowship of Christians is a great way to promote spiritual growth and healthy relationships. Sundays are great, but
Church goes way beyond a weekly meeting. So, through hospitality and friendship, we continue to grow in our faith, serving others and the Lord.

These are the groups at present, but there’s always room for more:
- COME: Meets weekly on Thursday at 10am for study and fellowship.

- Frankton Men’s Lunch: BYO lunch and gather for fellowship – once a fortnight.

- Global Men (in Portuguese): Meets once a fortnight on Friday evenings.

-Global Women (in Portuguese): Meets weekly on Tuesday evenings.

- Home Bible Study: Meets weekly on Wednesday at 7pm.

- Women in Touch: Meets monthly on a Tuesday evening.
Mainly Music
A well-attended Mainly Music group meets weekly at Frankton, under the leadership of amazing ladies who have been serving the parents and grandparents of little ones for many years, offering them a space to interact with other families and to educate their children in a friendly Christian space, where love is on display all the time. They use music and videos as a resource to entertain babies and toddlers while they learn important values in a language they can understand.

Pasta Café
Pasta Café has been popular during the ski season for more than fifteen years. In an exciting environment filled with music and entertainment, people from all over the world have the
opportunity to have a free hot meal every Friday evening for at least four weeks. Families from the community are always present, making Pasta a trademark of our church. Lately we
received good encouragement from the District Council who supports and helps advertise our annual event.
Spring Fair
The Spring Fair has also proved to be popular in the past, when we used to go to Lake Hayes Pavilion with a huge structure to serve the community and new families in town willing to
buy items for a new home, but with more affordable shops and many other fairs being organised by other groups in town, we decided to downsize the fair to make it more sustainable and practical. Now our Spring Fair takes place once a year at our own car park in Frankton.

Overseas Mission:

For more than 10 years, we have been serving the young church in Nepal by providing financial support for two church plants in villages where previously there was basically no
presence of the Gospel. Nepal is a country with more than thirty million “gods”. The challenge is not just to proclaim Jesus, but also to encourage them to abandon false religions. That’s why we are sending teachers annually to strengthen Nepalese leaders in their work to spread the Gospel in their own language.

We have been supporting Hasta Memorial School and we helped raise funds to build the structure of a complex that would accommodate hundreds of children, providing a high
level of education in a Christian environment with the purpose to protect the new generation from being exposed to human trafficking, a huge problem in that region.
